how do i get this thing to install?

I downloaded all the binaries, but it keeps telling me my login password is wrong.

I just use ffmpegX. It gives a nice front-end to it, and if I need the CLI, I just ctrl-click and show package contents.

Right, sorry. It was such a long time since I installed it that I'd forgotten what a hassle it was. Currently trying to update to 0.0.9k and having the same problem now. I did however get a previous version installed, if I could only remember how...

Edit: I really hate stuff that requires you to be logged in as admin.
So, first I checked that there weren't any spaces in the HD name, logged in as admin, installed 0.0.9h and then 0.0.9k (since I'm on 10.2.8). You should also be able to sudo the relevant files to /usr/bin, but that didn't work for me (for some reason sudo doesn't accept the root password).

I'm on 10.2 as well. Do I need to change my HD name?

Or do I just need to install it when logged into admin?

I did both. It says in the readme that you should change your HD name to not include any spaces, not sure about the admin thing, but you can try without logging in as admin and see if it works.

If you get a weird error message about gnutar (or something like that) you need to install 0.0.9h, then delete that and install 0.0.9k.

Clicking on the name once, wait for the text to highlight and type in a new name, maybe? Works for me.

I don't have to be in admine mode to change the name of the hard drive?

You mean any user can do that?!

I suppose it depends on the privilegies on the drive, but AFAIK, yes. At least you can change privilegies without being logged in as admin as long as you know an admin password.
