Howdy,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out.. I have a bunch of .avi clips and the like that I would like to put on to dvd so that they will play on my mates portal dvd player. So I open up iMovie and try to import but it tells me that I cant import larger than 9 mins or so and that I have to break it down with QT first and then import it.. now I have a few clips, all of which are over 9 mins. Is there no other way to make a dvd out of these clips than going through iMovie and splitting them with QT?...
Thanks in advance for any help... Theres a pint behind the virtual bar!

ok I just tried importing from the iDVD file menu and it lets me import a .mov to iDVD but not an .avi as it says it is unsupported.
Like I say, all I want to do is drop these clips into iDVD and burn dvd..

An avi. can be a divx or xvid etc.

Download the codecs for the file you have (divx, xvid etc.), then use QT pro to convert the avi, then import that file.
