hi

i'm "switching" soon and when i do i plan to get a display, kb & m and then either a laptop or maybe the mac mini (and just use my gf's ibook when i want that type of portability).

but i'm wondering what the difference in requirements are to properly run a 20" display versus the 23" HD display. will the mac mini run the HD, cuz that would severely lower the cost, and i could then wait for a powerbook update or something later down the line and put my money toward the display. i imagine all the laptops will run it, but is screen resolution a problem on some?

part of the goal is to use the Mac display to watch movies and maybe the occasional TV show (both through the computer)

either way i want to try and wait out tiger (which i'm hoping is released while i still have the student discount/before i finish gradschool).

i appreciate any help. thanks.
