only way I do know is form the analogue ages
in most cases, the singer is positioned in the stereophonic spectrum right in the middle; therefore, if you change the polarity of ONE channel and make a mix down, you use the effect of interference - both signals will wipe out each other.
But, modern music adds lots of echos/reverbs/room simulations into the stereo signal, you will hear the singer still "from aside".
I'm not sure, but I think the free tool Audicity offer such a feature…-
