I've been looking for a little while now for some good speakers for my powerbook. I have an airport express too.

Trying to decide between the Sound sticks and the
Klipsch Ultra 2.0 Pro Speakers

I have an old subwoofer (yamaha beige thing) so I dont NEED the one with the sound sticks, unless I NEED THE ONE WITH THE SOUND STICKS!!!

Any suggestions outside of these two are welcome as well.

thanks!

Personally, I would go with the Klipsch. I have both of them set up where I work, and I prefer the Klipsch for everything except the lower end. They are also more versatile, since they accept 1/8" minijack input. The SoundSticks are USB-only, AFAIK, so you wouldn't be able to, say, hook up a friend's iPod for a listen.

What price can you get for each of them?

thanks for the feedback. I think the new sound sticks have a mini jack now. The klipsch are $150 and the sound sticks are like $170.

Hmm, that's strange. You should be able to get the Klipsch's closer to $100, even paying full retail.

If you're willing to pay $150 and don't mind the 2.1 form factor, take a look into the Klipsch Promedia 2.1s. They are superior to both other options, IMO.
