Hi, is there any viable alternatives to Audtion on the Mac side? Thanks.

Reason I was asking was someone was saying peecees have so much software than Macs and I asked for an example. He threw out Adobe Audition. Aside from some GarageBand stuff, audio's not my bag. I said Logic but wasn't sure if that was tghe right answer.

What's he looking to do with it?

Audition looks very much the Swiss army knife - any application that does recording, soundtracks, mixing, editing, media importing/enhancing, mastering, burning, processing, and surround encoding at $300 is kind of suspect.

He's a Windows apologist and keeps on going on about how Macs aren't even close to peecees when it comes to software (I refuted all of his other silliness). And when he mentioned Audition, Logic was the first thing that came to mind, but since I don't do any audio work, thought I'd ask.
