I just want to know if there're any reviews or comparisons with this camera. I believe I have 14 days to return it, if I can find something for the same price that's better, I'll do so.

Let me know.

I have no experience with this model of CoolPix (I personally have a 4500), but I've found that the Digital Photography Review website has some pretty well-written and extensive reviews. The review for the 4800 is here

I've already read all the reviews but I need some personal opinions. It's my first personal digital camera and I just want to make sure I got a good one for a good deal.

It comes with a rechargeable battery which is good (and a spare would be nice) and you need a large memory card as I didn't see one mentioned in the review. All else is a matter of taste if it works. Oh, an optical viewfinder is also nice as I didn't see one of those mentioned either. sam

I like mine. It is inexpensive and I needed more zoom (8.3X) than the old 2 meg Nikon that I had. I always have trouble with the menu's on these things, and this was no exception. The pictures have been great. D/L's to iPhoto in a snap. I have had mine 4 months and give it a B+. I really should read the manual and play with the camera more, to learn more about it. Definetely get a larger memory card (256 is fine) I have never filled it up. Another battery is nice, especially if you are using the LCD to shoot and view. Cheap insurance. e me if you have a specific question.
W....liar or idiot? Pick two.
