I hope this question is in the correct Forum.....

I just purchased an iBook earlier this Month to take on Vacation and also watch movies during the 16+ hour flight to Hong Kong.
I could just take the DVD's with me to watch movies. If I would be able to get longer battery life by copying the movies to my hard drive I want to it.
Even with a second battery, at best I will have 8-9 to at the best 10 hours battery life.


Any suggestions on how best to convert my DVDs for the airline flight??

If you're not keeping the movies on your computer long-term, you probably just want to rip them without re-encoding. 0sex and Mactheripper are good ripping tools.
