I constantly get the herky-jerkies when viewing QuickTime movies and other streaming video on my iBook G4 and my ancient G4 tower which share a decent broadband connection (DSL, about 3Mbps or better downstream). What are some good tips/tutorials on optimizing this setup for streaming video? My movie trailers in particularly rarely stay in sync with the audio, even when fully cached. Am I doing something wrong?
How much memory do you have installed on each machine? That has been my problem with quicktime before, not enough physical memory. Other than that, QuickTime has always been right on for video sync with audio.
