Hi there,

I've just picked up a Sanyo Xacti C4 DV camera. It's working really well and I love it.
There is only one thing weird with it. My video settings are in PAL but everytime I burn a dvd of something that I have filmed, Toast says that the settings of the video have been changed to NTSC. The only option to ok this and the dvd is burned in NTSC.

Has this happened to anyone out there ? Would anyone have any idea on how to fix this ?

Thanks a lot for the the help !

Yes. Just before it start burning the dvd, the message comes up and says:"settings have been changed to NTSC" and the NTSC option is then ticked...

Chances are your cam is NTSC, and is therefore recording in NTSC. So the file you capture is in NTSC. In turn, your burned DVD will be in NTSC.

I am not sure if there is any program that can take NTSC footage and convert it to PAL, especially when PAL is a higher quality format (notice how NTSC cams are generally cheaper than PAL?) I havent personally seen it done, nor do I know if its possible. But it would be damn useful, looks like it. There seem to be a lot of people bying region 1 cams outside of region 1...
