Hey folks. I have a Samsung scd23 that I've had for about a year. I've lost the CDs that came with it so I dont have those. (I was using it on a PC)
Well, I now own (since about February) an iBook G4. I just today tried to connect my camcorder up to the 'book but nothing happens. I cant seem to get the computer to even see the camcorder. Now i'm very new with Macs so any help would be appreciated.

My laptop is still running Panther. OS X 10.3.9.

any ideas?

Since you mention being new to macs, have you opened iMovie and switched to the camera mode vs. editing clips and still the camera doens't show up as an import device?

Is it a USB-based connection or firewire? Try buying a firewire cable and connecting via that connector on your camera if you were trying the USB.

I'm sorry. I should have been a bit more specific in my original post. I am using firewire. A brand new cable that I bought Saturday. I've made double and triple sure that iMovie is in camera mode, but I get a "No Camera Found".

I am using iMovie '04 if that makes a difference.
