Greetings:

I have a m-box hooked up by USB to my ibook 1.33". The software worked great and I was blissfully recording for about two weeks when, after clicking the save button(which opens the pro tool session) I get the "the application has unexspectedly quit, no other applications have been affected". Whats especially weird is that it worked great for two weeks , it will save the session but I won't have the opportunity to record anything because it closes down everytime, it looks like its going to open that at the last second, after everythings loaded, I get that annoying quit thing
This also happened with a dvd burning program I was useing(dvd2onex) than had to get a updated version of it. I contacted both apple and digidesign , both offered no help and yes every application I have is legal and I did try reinstalling it.

You should repair permissions and check your drive and repair if neccesary every once in a while, and sometimes after installing new software. Also, don't let your drive or drives fill up to the point where it's like 90% full.

I've had the same problem before, where certain programs would work fine, then just unexpectadly quits. Doing the permissions repair and reinstalling the program fixed it in my case. It wasn't protools, though I do have that also, but I haven't gotten any unexpected quits with it yet.
