We currently use the combination of 3ivX, Xvid Delegate and DivX to play Xvid AVIs.
Can anyone confirm that these codecs work properly in Tiger and Quicktime 7?
Oh, and if mpgtxwrap GUI works under Tiger too...!

I've heard some reports saying that the 3ivx decoder isn't functioning perfectly under QT 7, but I haven't tried myself. You can try asking/browsing the 3ivx forums, but if I were you I'd wait with going to QT 7 until the next 3ivx update.

I thought that QT7 was installed as part of a Tiger full install.
I guess I could manually install 6.5.2 into Tiger...

I don't use all of those, but I can say that QuickTime 7 does come with Tiger, and there is no apparent way to install QuickTime 6 over it.

I think you're right Chuckit.
Looks like the Quicktime 6.5.2 re-installer is only for 10.3.9

I was just under the assumption that you were checking as a precaution before updating to Tiger and/or QT 7.
