i just bought a used powerbook with 10.2.8, will be upgrading to tiger shortly. it wont play dvd +r
at all. dvd-r works great. i have a 1 hour film a friend shot for me burned on a dvd + r. what can i do to get it to play, as i need to burn a copy? it plays perfectly in my dvd player for the televison.

no, older Macs didn't accept +media…
ask your friend to burn a -copy…

This is a hardware/hardware's firmware problem, not a problem of the OS…
