Although the data for various programs comes through just fine from TitanTV via my web browser and I seem to have nice, accurate, pink-colored entries in my EyeTV program window, the recordings never seem to happen, neither on-time nor at the wrong time, just ... well, never.

Also, EyeTV always reports the free space on my internal drive even though my archive lives on a much larger external drive. That's frustrating.

Ideas?

Mac OS 10.4.2
EyeTV 1.8.1

Can you "Open Live Window"?

I have found that the connection between the EyeTV box and the computer can get "lost" particularly if I am adding timed events and deleting files within the application. I have the EyeTV200. Some of the early documentation from El Gato suggested that you quit the application, unplug the firewire cable, then replug the firewire cable, and restart the application. This will reset the connection. If you can open a live window and close it with the green light still showing, my experience is that a timed recording will happen. Frustrating bug but so it goes....

Well, it's USB 2.0 in this case. The Plextor device relies on EyeTV software. Plextor's e-mail support is pretty lame. They wrote me today to ask me to call them between 9AM-12PM during the week. Is this what they call "industry-leading support"? Actually, ironically, that might be a sadly true claim!

I'll try the quit-unplug-replug-relaunch approach you suggested and then repost with the results.

I have seen a problem like this and it has always been when I click download in titan tv and for some reason eye tv thinks I want to record from the AV inputs instead of the coax antenna. It happens every time in fact and I always just end up changing it manually.
