i am working on this multicam edit on final cut pro v5. i havent familiarized myself with its new multicam feature, so i am doing it the old fasion way. i go frame by frame looking for audio match ups. However, now i cant do it because when i go frame by frame, my audio wont play, but it plays at normal speed. not fast forward or rewind. what do i do!

That must be because the audio scrubbing functionality is turned off. To turned it back on press SHIFT-S. For more details, it's on page 300 of the manual.
