hi there, i have just installed FCP5 on my powerbook, really love it, but i have a clip where i need to have the audio running 2.4 seconds behind the video. It seems to easy easy enough to zoom in and choose either 2 or 3 seconds, but i was just wondering if there is a dialogue or tool somewhere in the program where i can tell it exactly how far i want to move the clip, i am assuming this must exist as this is a high end app, i just cant seem to find it.

any help would be gratefully received, i hope this is a quick and easy one.

Just by selecting the clip and typing the amount you need to move it. By typing -20, it'll will move the clip 20 frames back. By typing +45, it'll move the clip 45 frames (1.5 second) forward.

If the audio and video were captured together and are attached as one clip and you want to offset the video or the audio, you have to «unlink» the clip first. Select the clip and go to Modify>Link, or press Command+L. Then if you move the video or the audio, you will see on the clips a number in a red box representing the offset.
