If I wanted to set up a Mac mini to be part of a home theater system, what would be the best way to integrate it? Ideally, I suppose I'd want a receiver with DVI input or HDMI so I can use a DVI-HDMI adaptor. Does such a thing even exist? I haven't been able to find one.

My Sony HD tv/monitor has an HDMI input as well as component inputs. The Motorola series of set top boxes for cable companies (6200 and 6412) have functional firewire and dvi outputs. sam

Yes a DVI to HDMI cable exists. You're gonna have to go to an AV store though. Around here Circuit City carries them. I have had good luck with the Belkin one but it was expensive. I believe the price was around $120. Maybe you can find a better deal on eBay?

http://www.pacificcable.com/HDMI_Cables.html has the cables for $31. I bought one from them because they are only ten miles from my house (Auburn Washinton) ; so, I drove over and picked one up. sam
