i have tried burning about 3 different dvd's at different speeds and evertyime i try to play it on my dvd player the audio will cut out some time during the movie, what i have noticed is that the audio cuts out when it switches .vob files. I close all aplications when i burn the dvd's so i know that's not what is messing it up. i dont know what else to try. i even tried a different brand of blank dvd's, please help

what software are you using?
make sure your dvd player's lens is clean...
ummm..are you using the same audio codec through out the dvd...sometimes, some dvd players cant play certain codecs...
that is all i have to say...

toast...are you burning it as a video file or the video_ts folder?

video_ts... under dvd rom in toast... and then it will play in my dvd player but when it switches from the first .vob file the audio cuts out and the video keeps playing... HELP

what format is the audio in? It could be a multitude of things. I would say try to rebuild the video_ts folders and go from there.
