Portable Video Recorder (mp4) Recomendation

Hey guys,

Im looking for a cheap portable video recorder to use with a lipstick camera. Something that saves to MP4s or similar and uses a HD or Compact Flash. My biggest concern is file compatibility with final cut and iMovie. I dont want the hassle of converting files, I just need a simple solution to getting video off a lipstick camera fast.

Videos are going to be used in two ways. They will either be directly put on the web or as secondary displays for driving movies etc.

Any recomendations? Things to stay away from? Im not looking for anything too crazy, a 100$ solution is prefered (not including memory).
