Hi,
I'm basically looking for a cheap way of copying my VHS video collection to my Mac. I'm not so bothered about burning the results to DVD - a mov or avi file would be fine. I know there are A/D video converter boxes out there, but they're either too expensive or have extra feautres I just don't need. Is there even a simple cable solution - composite video (I think it's called) to firewire would be perfect. I have iMovie HD so software-wise I shouldn't have a problem.
What about PCI capture cards? There seem to be very few Mac compatible ones out there...
Also, as an aside, I'm interested in the TV tuner cards you can get - is there maybe an all-in-one solution I could look at that would do TV and capture analogue video?
Any help would be appreciated.
