Is it possible to equalize the audio output of the Mac without an external equalizer or via iTunes? I want to equalize audio so my games sound better, too much base and not enough treble (for voice chat). Isn't Core Audio supposed to be able to do something like this or at least allow it? Could it be a plugin for the "Audio Midi Setup" utility that comes with 10.4? Thanks.

Audio Hijack let's you do this for all system audio or for individual programs.

I was thinking of hooking up a 30 band eq to mine for some audio production, but that's a little overkill for games. I've looked for inexpensive software that will do 30-band, but no luck. Looks like the software above is only 10. Cool features, though.
