I've been using pro Tools Le with an Mbox for about 3 years now and I think it's pretty good. However, I'm having serious thoughts about switching to Logic Express and I was wondering if there is any way to open the Pro Tools sessions in Logic while keeping all of the audio time placements and session info intact. I have about 80 songs recorded in pro tools and can't afford to lose them as they stand.

I am no wiz at this however I have had one occasion to upload Protools files into logic. It does work, however all of the Protools files must be set or recorded from zero. Anotherwords If you have a track that is say a vocal punch that runs from measure 45 to measure 76, you need to record (silence) on that same track from zero to 45 and then from 76 to the end in order for Logic to place it properly in the environment. I know of no other way to do this. To my knowledge (which is severly limited) Logic does not recognize Protools position markers and vice/versa. Logic will upload all of the song files at once from the protools folder which is cool but if they are not "zeroed" they will end up scattered all over the environment. Good luck.

You could get everything together and then consolidate waveforms from beginning to end. This would make the files able to be read by anything.

Also, I've never used Logic before, but I would assume there would be some sort of way to check the original timestamps of the files and then align them to the session in Logic.
