I have a some home movies that were put on a dvd for me, but they are on a dvd+r disk. As far as I know my Powerbook can read the +r format but can't burn it. Is there any way for me to create a copy of this disk using my Powerbook? I tried using Toast but it wouldn't let me do it.

Define "wouldn't let you". As long as the disc isn't copy-protected, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to duplicate it to your heart's desire.
Even without Toast, you should be able to use Disk Utility to make a disc image ("DVD/CD Master" format) and then burn that back out to DVD.

Yes, you're correct. Sorry I'm still figuring things out in the Mac world.
I just finished burning the disk. Before my original post I was putting the dvd in the drive, opening Toast and went to the copy tab. While the dvd+r was in there's text that says "Status" and next to it, DVD+R (not writable). Stupid me thought that I wouldn't be able to burn it at all.
While I'm not completely new to my Mac, I don't often copy/burn movies so it's unfamiliar to me. That and I had a very long friday night and saturday morning......I'm still working my way to 100%.
Thanks for answering my question Tooki.
