Minidisc recorders compatible with Macs?

I'm a classical singer who needs to record voice lessons, coachings, rehearsals etc and wants to have the capability to store them on my iBook for future reference.

Anyone have suggestions as to which minidisc player/recorders are compatible?
I thought about getting an iPod/iMic set-up to do this, but I think I need better recording quality than that...
