I have the same song two, three, sometimes four or five times in my library in iTunes. I know this is because I have the same song on several CD's that I imported.
The question is, how can I eliminate the extras and add those playlists to the one version I am keeping?

do you know about the menu option - EDIT :: Show Duplicate Songs ?

there are a few apps that will automate this for you, but i'd rather do it manually, as i'd hate to lose a song (or, for example, one with a higher bitrate).
