i wouldn't know a way..but if there was, i would not recommend it..mainly because monitors are not meant to work with cable boxes...
however, there are televisions out there (lcd televisions) with the dvi or vga connectors and are designed to work with a computer...
so in my opinion, it would be the better way to go..
however, there would be a tv safe that may effect your viewing area when using it as a computer monitor...

Dell makes a great 24" monitor. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/P...tegory_id=4009 I use it every day at work and I strongly consider buying one myself. It has composite, s-video, component, DVI and VGA inputs. It does Picture in Picture, or side by side pictures. You can even rotate the monitor at a 90 degree angle. All for $999.

We tested so many brands and models of monitor, that I'm not sure anymore about the rotating 90 degree thing on the Dell monitor., but the rest is all too real. I'll be able to confirm the rotation thing when I get to work.

I'm so pleased by the 24" Dell monitor I used at work (Even if it's on a XP Machine), that I decided to buy one for myself. It was on special last week (959$ CDN) at more than 400$ cheaper than Apple's Cinema Display, it was a bargain. I'm really pleased with it. This beast even looks better hooked to a Mac (no surprise here).
