Hi, is there a way to make the Canvas window from FCP show in Full Screen mode on a second monitor?

Unfortunately, this is the wrong forum.
Also, if you should provide more specifics (e. g. which version of FCP you actually use).

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I didn't see this restated in the Applications forum so I'll give you a quick answer: Yes.
Download the manual: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/Fin...ser_Manual.pdf
See manual page 216 / pdf page 217 (Volume I > Part III "External Video Monitoring" > "Using Digital Cinema Desktop Proview")

Do you know if this is possible with Final Cut Express? I'd be interested in this if so, rather than just using iMovie.

My guess is that it's the same. My understanding is that FCE is just FCP with less functionality.

Haha, thanks guys. Also..the reason i posted it where I did was because of the description. It said something about Applications and Final Cut...so I stopped reading there and did not noticed it actually said to go to the other forum.

Yeah, FCE also supports two monitors. The recommended setup is for the external montor to be an NTSC (or PAL) video monitor rather then a second computer monitor (though that, too, is supported if you have the right video card.) The reason is that this allows you to see what the final product will look like in terms of color space, artifacts, line twitter, etc. These can look quite different in video than they do in computer RGB.
This is all discussed in the setup section of the manual.
