The video.google.com service has added a feature to allow users to download the free movies in the collection in addition to just watching them online.

The Windows/Mac downloads seem to be DivX 4 avi files with MP3 audio

When I try to play these downloads the audio skips about every 3-5 seconds and quickly becomes out of sync.

Playing in Quicktime 6.5.2 with the DivX 6 codec installed.

What am I doing wrong?

Try VLC. If it doesn't work there, your machine may be too slow.

VLC plays them properly.

But, I would like to be able to play the movies through Quicktime, which lets me use any QT aware app...

Any suggestions for getting the DivX movies to play properly with the DivX codec and Quicktime?
