G4, 1.25, 512 ram, (bought Feb 2004) running FCPro 4 and iDVD. Downloaded all latest iDVD and FCPro updates last night.
Problem: when I try to "click to burn" an iDVD project, I get the message: "Problems were found validating yoru project. a DVD must have at least one video or one slideshow." None of my manuals helps, the apple.com "help" page on this is ... pathetic. Zero content.
Here's the flow: I export my little film (6+ minutes in Final Cut Pro 4) as a Quicktime video, which ends up 1.5 gigs large. In iDVD, a thumbnail of that appears in the "Movies" folder. I drag it and drop it into the iDVD theme that I've selected, and then I get the above message. Grrr. All software is updated and current.
The quicktime video plays in iDVD preview. If I burn it to a DVD all by itself, it plays from there. But I want it in iDVD with the theme, etc.
Help! Tight deadline (Sunday night), need help a.s.a.p. Thanks!
