Hi everyone,
I recently bought a samsung camcorder and noticed it has no usb on it. It does have an s-video connection. Is it possible to somehow connect this to my emac. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Seetal

Is it a digital camcorder (ie digital 8 or miniDV) or anologue (video 8, VHSc or Hi8)? If it is a digital camcorder, then it will have a firewire port on it somewhere. If it is not digital, then you will have to buy an anologue input box such as the CANOPUS ADVC-110 ANALOG/DIG CONV from the Apple store :

Yes, it is a digital - miniDV. I will have a look for the firewire connection.
So it would just be a matter of getting a firewire cable?
thanks!

Yes, you will need a firewire 400 cable that goes from a 4 pin plug to a 6 pin plug. The FW socket on your camcorder will be this shape:

iMac Core Duo 1.83 Ghz | 1.25GB RAM | 160HD, MacBook Core Duo 1.83 Ghz | 13.3" | 60HD | 1.0GB RAM
