.ogg audio files?

My roommate just sent me a folder and all of the audio files are in .ogg format. I've never seen this and they wont open in itunes. How do i convert them to .mp3 or .acc? I used to have "Switch" but the trial expired and i dont use it enough to warrent a purchase. Thanks for the help.
