how to get the video file?

Hey ive got a sony handy cam the one were the little 8cm discs fit in,
When i finalize my movies and put them into the computer they come up in "dvd player"
How do i get the movie so i could upload it to the internet and not just in the dvdplayer program?

videoDVDs contain a video delivery format, not meant for any further processing...

try Handbrake
http://handbrake.m0k.org/
to create some "useful" files......

for creating web-files, think about size/resolution, codecs, framerate, bitrates etc...
