hi, i recently recorded some bands at a rock festival, only problem is the kick drum microphone
moved during recording and a handfull of the songs have unuseable kick drum sounds.

so....is there a find/replace function in logic (ive got pro 7.1). if ive got all the kick drum
sounds cut into 'regions', is there any way i can automatically replace all those regions
with a new 'region' that is a better sound?

i can go through and do this manually, but obviously that would suck! I think in pro tools
there is something called sound replacer that does this....

any help/suggestions appreciated.

cheers

C

Within ProTools you can tab to transients and then just paste each new sound. Yes it would take a little while, but not that long and that solution is completely free.
maybe you've been brainwashed too.

Right, I understand that. I know I probably wasn't very clear, but what I was intending to do was offer advice as to what might be a similar feature between the two.

Sorry if I looked like an idiot.

By the way if you need it done for you, I do have sound replacer. Just send me a PM.

There's a plug-in called Apptrigga that will trigger a sample at a preset audio level. I think it costs a little bit, but it'd be the easiest way, besides literally pasting the damn thing, I think. I've tried the demo (makes white noise evey 30 secs) and it works as advertised.

Edit: link: http://www.apulsoft.ch/aptrigga/

howdy, thanks for the replies.

i did find a great solution after a bit of sculking on another forum
(sorry macnn, your not my one and only)

There is a plugin called 'drumagog' that is excellent at this kind of
thing. the demo is good for 14 days and while i certainly
cant afford it, it really works well!

http://www.drumagog.com/

any of you doing sound work should check it out, and lobby
apple to include it on future versions of logic! it may be a drum sound
replacer but the creative possibilites are fantastic.

cheers

Yeah, it's pricy compared to Apptrigga, but it looks nice. Might have to add that to my xmas list.
