Can't import PS layers in FCE

Hi

I've really been looking forward to trying this, but when I save a RGB 8-bit p/c image in PS CS2 (Mac) and import it into FCE, I'm not getting the 'each layer on it's own video channel' effect that all the info I can find assures me I will.

Oddly, the manual suggest that I need to flatten the image before importing it, but this doesn't work either.

Any suggestions?

Oops, just read online that I need to doubl- click to reveal the layers.
