I was wondering if anyone uses this Avid software. I own an iMac G4, 20inch, 768 MB of ram.

It says on the website that you need 1GB of ram to operate this software.

My question is, if you own it, how much RAM do you have and how fast is your system.

Maybe my system is not fast enough for this software is what I'm asking.

I own AVID DV and it seems to work okay with my setup, but XPRESS look more demanding.

I run Avid XPress Pro on a Dual 2.0 GHz G5 with 2.5 gigs of RAM, and it runs great. The G4 is plenty fast, but Avid will not load without at least 1 gig of RAM. If you upgrade your ram to at least 1 gig, you'll be able to run it just fine.
