I just encoded a a slide show in iMovie at 720p and I am going to send it to iDVD. Now I'm worried that the hours of my time that I put into making it will go to waste if I send it to iDVD and the DVD wont be able to be played on SD TV's....

What should I do?

if iDVD can use the file it will play on SD machine. Plus there are no HD DVD writers out that I know of. So iDVD should down convert it to SD. Just try it out.

iDVD 6 will downconvert to SD. Save your iMovie project for when iDVD supports HD.
