Hi
I have flip 4 mac installed but have had a few problems with it, the first being that i use movies filmed with my digital camera in imovie and i always had to uninstall flip 4 mac because i couldnt import them into imovie they become an unrecognised file now i put the lasted version of flip for mac on and the problem has gone away only to leave me with an on screen watermark constantly accross the movie saying "created with flip 4 mac" what a brilliant idea(not really) for a start these clips arent created with flip 4 mac they are mpeg4 clips so now i am back to square one unistalling flip 4 mac every time i want to make a movie, has anyone else discovered this little gem, its a great reminder to me of the days when i had a pc.

cheers

chris

first of all: here, some . . . . . . for your post (do you speak as you write?)

pay for the software, then all restrictions (watermark), as mentioned on flip4macs website are menioned about the FREE trial out, will be gone.

besides: iMovie is meant to work with miniDV camcorders; no conversion needed. you try to teach the old dog new tricks...- that need work, conversion, is unconvenient...

Hi
I missed any mention on the website of the watermark only i only saw this-
Trial download limitations:
In trial mode you can export 1/2 the duration of your source file up to 30 seconds

but thats not the point, the files its putting the watermark on arent even created with flip 4 mac!
although imovie is idealy for dv cameras it handles mpeg4 and avi very well and will allow you to edit them the same as dv files which is great for us people who all own little digital cameras shooting at 480 by 640 res at 30 frames a sec with sound

its just my way of thinking ,,, but i dont think it should be adding a watermark to files that it hasnt even created
