My wife is a middle school teacher and just found out she will be teaching a media production class and she has almost no experience with this kind of thing. No problem really, they have a couple of older mac's with iMovie 4 and I’ve given her a quick tutorial on how to use it.
My question is are there any other educators out there who would be willing to exchange some emails for questions of curriculum and classroom strategies?
We'd love to hear stories about what you've done and what's worked. If you were starting all over again what do you wish you would have known??
Cheers

I have been attempting to get a Digital Media class in my school and came across this curriculum Redlands High School - Bibo-Multimedia CP Files
It is from a high school in Redland, California. I contacted this gentlemen a few years back when I was getting a propsal for the school and he said I could use his curriculum. The curriculum is in the first PDF and the rest are excellent worksheets and some projects. PM me if you have any questions because I know the in and out and politics to help get a class like this started.

That is some excellent curriculum. Any other resources you came across. I have to build a multimedia program for high school and have no multimedia background. The link list is great, but some of it I wouldn't know how to teach because I know nothing about it.

Contact a high school with a good media production department, and I bet the teacher there will be happy to assist you a good amount.

I'm trying to do this very thing. I put together a video for the graduating 8th graders at the end of the year but would like the kids to take it over. The problem is we don't have any Macs (yet) in the building. I'd be glad to collaberate once I get it going.

I have no lid upon my head. But if I did, you
could look iniside and see what's on my
mind.
