I wanted to clarify a bit from my previous thread. I plan on purchasing ~4 Macs this year and ~4 next year to use in my lab. We have crappy Windows beige boxes at my new school. I teach Multimedia and Design. I am going to focus on basic web design, Macromedia Studio, and then try to get into some video editing. We have 36 machines that are 6 months old with P4. 1 GB, 60 GB, and craptacular XP. Plus Macromedia Studio MX and Adobe CS2.

i would probably edge towards the 2GHz version of the iMac 17" as it has a better video card.

otherwise the Mac mini 1.83GHz and iMac 1.83GHz are similar spec'd from what i can see.

if you give them both 1GB Ram and 160GB HD and the mini a keyboard and mouse, the iMac 17" works out cheaper plus you've 17" display but minus a DVD burner.
