I have iMovie and Avid free version, and two sets of video - one of a person presenting, and another quicktime video of their presentation. I want to have a picture-in-picture effect, but am not sure how to get it - I don't want to spend a lot of money on video editing software - any help?
Thanks!

OK, so I did my own research, and the cheapest that does the job is:

welcome to cf/x!

A great site with LOTS of plugins.

GeeThree also looks worth a look, but too expensive for me.

Also, you could use QT Pro to accomplish this, but you'll need some serious study of QT Pro. The plus side is that QT Pro is only $30 from Apple, so the price is right!

I wouldn't say serious study. Just copy the one movie and "add" it over the other movie (edit menu), then in track properties change the size to be small. Anyway, it looks like his iMovie plugin is just $1.50.
