For Windows Media I use ASFRecorderX/mmsclient.

For Realmedia I use mplayer CLI with the -dumpstream option.

For Quicktime, no idea what to use.

The stream was an http-stream, mmsclient only reads from mss-servers, so that was the reason that didn't work. But I tried the same method that I described for Realmedia-streams and that worked.

If you're intersted, this is what I did:
1) Looked the source of the the page and checked for the stream url; this seemed to be http://switch206-01.castup.net/cunet...mp;amp;ak=null
2) Downloaded the url and opened it in Textedit showed that it was a stream with multiple possible sources (probably in case one server is down it tries another). It shouldn't really matter which one you pick to download from.

For the next step I used the mplayer command-line interface. It seems scary at first, but you won't need to do much. First get the mplayer binary, you can use the one linked to from the ffmpegX download page.

3) Open a new Terminal window, drag-and-drop mplayer onto it. (Make sure that a space is added after everything you drag-drop or write.) Write in "-dumpstream" without quotes, and a space at the end. Then paste in one of the stream urls from the file you downloaded. Press enter and it should dump a file in your home directory called "stream.dump" (this might take a while, don't quit terminal.app or the mplayer instance before it's done).

If it's not writing a file in your home directory, try to use only the part of the url until ".wmv", not the characters after that. (That would make it only http://s52wm.castup.net/server12/34699654-52.wmv for example.)
