first video with FCP, your thoughts?

here's my first composition with FCP. it's a montage of media i collected that was in the public domain. it was a project for my digital video class at Ursinus College. Props to my great teacher Greg.

let me know what you think. next project we shoot our own footage.

please download the file as it doesn't stream well. also, comments on the archive.org page would be very awesome too!

the 256kB mpeg4 stream is absolutely unwatchable.. just artifacts, you have to guess, what you should see..

but, what I've seen so far: "some" pics to "some" music and "somehow" glued together..
probably a stream's problem, but the edits don't fit to music... and just a "collection" of pics.. what's the message? or, less patronizing: Where's the beef, young padovan?

if the edits dont fit the music then its a stream isue. i never got stream to work right, u have to DL it.

Really really awful quality. I mean I cant make out anything thats going on. Background score is decent, but you've opted to use a single track layer of an existing song/loop, which is ok for a first time.

Why dont you upload the high-res version to Vimeo or YouTube. Although not great, it'll still be better than where you've hosted it right now

i should. thing is, the copy i dl'ed from archive worked great....just like my project when i first exported from FCP.
