I've got a HP Photosmart M517 at work. The boss man went to take pictures of someones house and instead of actually taking pictures, he recorded video instead. Normally, we'd just take the pictures again, but the house is four hours away. Is it possible to take stills from the video? If so, how do I do it?

then it just makes Jpgs. They wont be of great quality though....

The quality doesn't need to be good, just viewable. iMovie comes with iLife, right? If that is the case, I don't have it.

If you can open it in QT, then you can use QTAmateur to export a still-image from it.

kick52 got it. Just open the movie (in anything), and hit cmd-shift-3 to take a screenshot whenever you get the urge (or cmd-shift-4 to take part of a screenshot, but then the movie keeps playing while you select your frame).

I use quicktime...whenever the video is where I want it, I pause it and then drag the image to the desktop.
