Hello,

I have recently run into the same problem with final cut pro as well as express. When I put together a sequence (of dv clips), and export it as a dv file, the audio cuts out, or the file truncates. This just started happening to me, I haven't made any changes recently to my computer. I believe I've done all the obvious trouble shooting. Any advice would help. This is happening on both of my G4s.

Thanks,

Tom

How big are the imported files? And how big is the final file. It might be a Ram issue: What are the stats of the machine you are using?

these are raw dv files so total for 50 min = 11 gigs. what is so frusturating is that i have done this exact process many times before, so why now is it an issue for me.

Machine Model: Power Mac G4
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.1)
CPU Speed: 867 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB

MIght wanna try smaller files. Export... Test
It it works, try larger files...
then try larger files incrementally.
See if a certain file size causes the failure.

Also. Upgrade to the latest Quicktime if you haven't already. Earlier versions had bugs.
