I have a DVD that I purchased as a PAL format DVD, only because it's a rare concert and only available as PAL. What I'd like to do is convert it to NTSC format. I know of a few ways to do it, but they all involve demuxing the VOB and converting each file separately. Is there an easier way to do this? I have a MacPro, so horsepower is not an issue. Heck, I even have parallels, so if there's a piece of XP software, I can use that, too (though I'd rather not).

edit: how do I change the subject to add a question mark?

Essentially you have to get that PAL video into a format that you can convert, either a tape that you can run through a standards converter or a file that you can convert in software.

If it were me I would rip the DVD to PAL 8-bit uncompressed, and then run it through DVFilm Atlantis or use Nattress standards converter in FCP.

If a client was paying I'd send it out to a post house to be converted using Alchemist.
