Has anyone ever dealt with http://thecamerapros.com? I was looking into buying their Canon XH-A1 for around $3700 bucks. Seems a little low since retail was like $3999. Any past experiences? Thanks.

Before you buy from an internet retailer, go to

RESELLERRATINGS.COM

Customers post their experiences there, and every store gets a rating.

If a store doesn't appear there, I'd be careful.

I actually have never heard of that store you mentioned. But a "pro" in the name would make me cautious. (This goes for camera stores. I don't know if this is the same for computer stores).

Well, I ended up ordering it from elsewhere. I appreciate your advice though. That site is awesome.

ZipZoomFly.com

Prices are rediculously low in a lot of cases. Free 2 day shipping as well! The only thing most people bash about them though is there customer support. Since I ordered a $4000 item, they made me do a bunch of extra confirmation work but that's understandable. I found their support to be moderately fast and they were understanding as well. Great purchase. Great dealer.

If you need a camcorder, stick with stores like b&h or 17th street photo. For consumer camcorders buydig.com is good, too.

Never, ever, order from bestbuy, circuitcity or other retailers.http://forums.macnn.com/images/smilies/bang.gif
