My sister has a project for university:
She has a lot of video ads on a lot of DVD's and she needs to cut some and paste them in a new DVD. The DVD's are not protected.

What software to use? She has access to a mac with iMovie and iDVD. Will that work? Or does she needs some other software?

Thanks
Kobayashi

She still needs software to rip the video from the DVD = handbrake or mac the ripper
needs to convert VOB to DV for use in iMovie = ffmpegx

free programs.

The use imovie and idvd to make her new dvds.

There is an app called Cinematize. It will allow you to pull segments out of non-copy protected DVDs.
