Any way to make multiple tracks off one long MP3 file?

Just curious to know if there is a program that would allow me to "break down" a large MP3 file into multiple tracks. The reason why I ask, is that I have some MP3 files of various musicians recorded live, but they are almost always just one MP3 file that comes in at 100+ minutes ---> which makes for some very annoying fast forwarding. So basically, I was just looking for a name or two of a program that would let me cut the file into individual song files, if that makes sense. Any suggestions or help would greatly be appreciated.

Get QT Pro and just cut and paste (like iMovie) the sections into a new Player window.

I convert to aiff file and then edit and convert back. I use Soundjam and SoundEdit.

Get Movieplayer 2.5 from Apple, not as many features as QT Pro, but free. Also you might want to edit the original sound files, as you will lose even more quality when you recompress converted MP3's.

QT 2.5 (inluding Movieplayer 2.5) can be downloaded from "ftp://ftp.apple.com/developer/Tool_Chest/QuickTime/QuickTime-2.5.sit".
