I'm using a Sony DCR-TRV520 Digital "Handycam"

What it really is is a new sony camcorder. Anyway, it has an option to store pictures on a Memory Stick. Does anyone know how to get these pictures over to my iMac? I already do some video editing on my computer, but I want to be able to get stills off of the camera and onto my computer. Does anyone know how?

Thanks

There is supposed to be a way to get them off via the firewire, but I've not seen the detail or done this. Using the MS the simplest way is to get Sony's USB MS reader. This mounts the MS as just another drive on your desktop making copying images from the MS a breeze.

You can get them off via firewire if you remove the tape, set the camera to memory mode, and press memory play. You should be able to see them in iMovie (or another program) and capture them. The problem is that they are still recorded in DV format and look no better than if you first transferred them to tape and then to the computer.

Does anyone have experience with the memory stick reader? Do the pictures look any better directly off of the ms?
